Stichting Wij Helpen Daar: time for a birthday

December 13, 1993. More than a year after the announcement of the existence of penal camps in Bosnia-Herzegovina, an aid organization is set up here in Leiden. In 1998 Wij Helpen Daar was actually allowed to call itself an official organization. It starts with one project in Trogir, which will later grow to no fewer than five projects this summer. All focused on providing humanitarian aid and material support. This is the beginning of the Wij Helpen Daar Foundation!

In less than a month, the foundation will be celebrating its 15th anniversary^e official anniversary of existence. We will certainly not let this go unnoticed. The evening starts with drinks in Ekklesia. Walk-in from half past seven, from eight to ten with drinks with various speakers, including the chairman of the new board. This part is mainly aimed at former board and former participants of the foundation. After the drink we leave for 'De hut van ome Henne' (Sint Aagtenstraat 28, near the animal market) to continue the party.
Even though our lustrum is on Friday the 13^e… Feel more than welcome to visit Ekklesia as well as Uncle Henne's hut! Do you already have plans that evening? Then you unfortunately miss a nice lustrum party. But it doesn't matter if you miss something. As long as you live your life diligently; as long as you enjoy every moment. Only then can you later look back with a good feeling on what you have done and what you have achieved. Right now you are already taking care of what your future looks like. You create your future with the present. So think for yourself what you want to achieve, how you can achieve it and spend your time well. After all, time passes so quickly: Stichting Wij Helpen Daar, 20 years in progress; 15 years of an organization!
