January; the busiest time is promotion. Because the Wij Helpen Daar projects are spread over the summer holidays, a sum of money is collected in the preceding months to take with you. Even before the collection, project groups are formed, which is preceded by the information evenings. And all of this starts here and now, in the promotional month of January.
Volunteering is seen by many people as 'a good thing', something you do out of mercy, for your fellow human beings. After all, you don't get anything material back for voluntary work. Yet there are enough things to name that you will get in return, such as a broader vision, love from others and more knowledge about yourself, just to name a few points. I myself know from experience that people who have once been involved in voluntary work will later open up more quickly to such work. That is also the reason why I hope to give as many people as possible this opportunity to volunteer. Because I believe that we cannot develop without others and may not even live without others.
